The combination
WOLVERINE pairs BPC-157, a pentadecapeptide derived from a sequence in human gastric juice, with TB-500, a synthetic fragment corresponding to the actin-binding region of thymosin beta-4. Both are studied in the tissue repair and regeneration literature; the blend exists so both can be handled in a single preparation.
Why an oral form is investigated at all
Most peptides are degraded by gastric and intestinal proteases before absorption, which is why the injectable route dominates. BPC-157 is unusual in that the literature repeatedly describes it as stable in human gastric juice — that property is the reason an oral capsule presentation of this blend is investigated, and it does not generalise to peptides as a class.
